Ezell students rock AP scores

Ezell-Harding Christian School would like to congratulate its Advanced Placement students, Advanced Placement Scholars and Advanced Placement Scholars with Honor from the 2015 graduating class.
Ezell-Harding offers five AP classes that are taught at the level of a college class – AP Calculus, AP English Literature, AP European History, AP Statistics, and AP United States History.

Our Honors students take an exam at the end of the school year that is graded on a 1 to 5 scale and that qualifies them for college credit if they make a 3 or higher.

This past May, twenty-four juniors and seniors took one or more AP exams. These students scored an average of 10% higher than BOTH the state and national averages. Eleven of the twenty-four were seniors who took at least one AP exam.

One hundred percent (100%) of these seniors scored a 3 or higher on at least one exam taken!

We commend the following graduates for their outstanding work: Jonathan Carden, Aric Cunningham, Austin Cunningham, Jana Jackson, Bethany Johnson, Lance Jones, Shelby Lash, Steven Leipzig, Rebecca Stiehl, Kirsten Watson, and Mary Beth White!
In order to qualify as an AP scholar, an Honors student must make a 3 or higher on three or more  AP exams taken in his or her junior and senior years. This year’s AP Scholars are Jonathan Carden, Aric Cunningham, Austin Cunningham, Lance Jones, and Mary Beth White.

Three students, Jonathan Carden, Aric Cunningham and Austin Cunningham, also qualify as AP Scholars with Honor which means they had an average score of 3.25 or higher on four AP exams.

AP Scholar Awards were completed at the end of August. Each of these students were recognized for their outstanding college-level achievement with a certificate in September, and the award was acknowledged on any AP score reports that were sent to colleges.

These Honor students reflect the excellence that Ezell-Harding promotes academically. We congratulate them for their hard work and their parents for their encouragement!

We have a total of thirty-eight students, sixteen juniors and twenty-two seniors, who will be taking the above AP exams in May of 2016. We will be anxious to report our newest Scholars next fall!
