Make no bones about it – the Antioch housing market is hot right now.
Trulia.com reported that for the week ending November 4, the average list price of a home for sale in Antioch is $191,509. This is up 3.9 percent or more than $7,000, from the previous week. List prices peaked at $195,678 for the week ending August 26.
Trulia says that there are 197 homes in the 37013 zip code listed for sale.
The site also reports that the median sales price for the period of August 15 through November 15 is running at $149,250, which is holding steady in the last couple of months and is an increase of $13,250, or 9.7 percent, over the same period last year.
Trulia is also reporting that the average price per square foot is $94, which is a 3.3% increase over last year. They are reporting that so far the total number of sales is down 17.8 percent year-over-year at 282 homes sold. The primary driver of the decrease in total homes sold is lower available inventory.
The site Zillow.com lists 295 homes for sale in 37013.
Movoto.com reports the market somewhat differently, claiming 291 listings in Antioch with a median list price of $175,000, which is down slightly from last month’s $176.875. They say the inventory of Antioch homes is down three homes (yes, three homes) compared to last month.
Realtor.com did not have a lot of local data updated this week, but the site does report 382 Antioch-area listings at the, time of this writing (it is updated every 15 minutes).
