Antioch continued to see some very slight slippage in the average list price for a home for sale, though average sales prices remain quite strong.
Trulia.com reported that for the week ending December 2, the average list price of a home for sale in Antioch is $173,200. This is .2 percent, or $292 from the previous week. List prices peaked at $195,678 for the week ending August 26.
Trulia says that there are 177 homes in the 37013 zip code listed for sale.
The site also reports good news. The median sales price for the period of September 15 through December 15 is running at $149,900, which is holding steady in the last couple of months and is an increase of $10,900, or 7.8 percent, over the same period last year.
Trulia is also reporting that the average price per square foot is $94, which is a 2.2% increase over last year. They are reporting that so far the total number of sales is down 11.1 percent year-over-year at 304 homes sold. The primary driver of the decrease in total homes sold is lower available inventory.
The site Zillow.com was only returning 14 results in a search for homes for sale, indicating something might be off with their listings.
Movoto.com reports the market somewhat differently, claiming 261 listings in Antioch with a median list price of $167,900, which is down slightly from last month’s $172,000. They say the inventory of Antioch homes is down 22 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Realtor.com did not have a lot of local data updated this week, but the site does report 302 Antioch-area listings at the time of this writing (it is updated every 15 minutes).
