South Precinct to get new overnight supervisor

There will be a new face running around the Metro Police Department’s South Precinct in the near future.

Matthew Chapman, a 5-year veteran of the police department, is being promoted to sergeant and will take on the role as a supervisor on the South Precinct’s overnight shift. Currently, he works in the Midtown Hills Precinct. Chapman has a Bachelor’s Degree from Lipscomb University.

The effective date of his promotion is January 1, 2016.

Other promotions announced by the Metro Nashville Police Department include:

  • New Lieutenant Bob Doak, a 20-year police department veteran who will lead the East Precinct’s evening shift.  Doak, presently assigned to the Madison Precinct, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
  • New Lieutenant Shane Shetler, a 14-year police department veteran who will lead the Madison Precinct’s day shift.  Shetler, presently assigned to the East Precinct, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia Southern University and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership.
  • New Sergeant Andrew Allen, a 4-year police department veteran who will be a supervisor on the East Precinct’s overnight shift.  Allen, presently assigned to the West Precinct, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisville.
  • New Sergeant Steven Folliard, a 5-year police department veteran who will be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s evening shift.  Folliard, presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
  • New Sergeant Christopher Houk, a 4-year police department veteran who will be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s day shift.  Houk, presently assigned to the South Precinct, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
  • New Sergeant Keith McNamara, a 7-year police department veteran who will be a supervisor on the Midtown Hills Precinct’s overnight shift.  McNamara is presently assigned to the Madison Precinct.
  • New Sergeant Henry Particelli, a 5-year police department veteran who will be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s evening shift.  Particelli is presently assigned to the Specialized Investigations Division.
