A community meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, January 15 to discuss a proposed gas compression station in Cane Ridge.
Hosted by District 31 Metro Council Member Fabian Bedne, the event will be held at Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 5891 Nolensville Pike.
Central to the discussion is a proposed gas compression station on property located at the
corner of Barnes Road and Old Hickory Boulevard in Cane Ridge. The property was acquired by Columbia Gas Company who has said the proposed station would occupy about 6-10 acres of the 70-acre property.
Bedne has stated that the industrial use of the property will require rezoning, to which he is opposed.
