Ezell-Harding Fine Arts Academy flexes creativity

At Ezell-Harding Christian School, we value a well-rounded education. We strive to offer the very best to our students and families in academics, athletics, and the arts.

For many students, the fine arts are the primary outlet for creativity and self-expression. We offer many opportunities for our students to nurture their artistic side through our Fine Arts Academy.

Ezell-Harding’s Fine Arts Academy is set apart because it gives students additional opportunities to pursue their specific interests in a fun after-school program. Our students are given the chance to take dance lessons, art classes, participate in a musical theatre production, or even take private piano lessons. We just wrapped up a fabulous season of Christmas performances. It was truly remarkable to witness the students develop as performers. Friends and family were able to see the culmination of hard work and practice.

On December 11 and 12, our musical theatre class performed an adapted version of Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Seeing the students perform this holiday classic filled every audience member with Christmas spirit. Costumes really came together to make our Whos and the Grinch come to life! Special thanks to everyone involved in making the show a success.

On December 16, we had our Fine Arts Academy Recital. The dancers, taught by Laura Anne Grayson, performed a ballet and a tap number. They were truly adorable in their red and green tutus. The piano students each performed a solo selection and were given recognition for their outstanding practice achievements. It was a very rewarding night for parents, teachers, and students alike.

Thank you to all who assisted in making the 2015 holiday season a success for the Fine Arts Academy. We could not do it without the support of our dedicated parents; thank you for allowing us to instill a love for the fine arts in your children. We are looking forward to another successful season this semester. For any questions about how to get your child involved in our Fine Arts Academy, please email [email protected]
