Lighthouse Christian School wrapped up a great Homecoming and Spirit Week by announcing their new Homecoming Queen and King.
The winners were Jeff Funk and Patrice Buckley. The crown was presented at Saturday’s Homecoming Celebration by outgoing queen Ellie Salvers.
At the same time, a Homecoming Princess and Prince were also named. Eighth-graders Susana Chanthavong and Noah Phillips earned the honors.
Through the week leading up to homecoming, students and faculty showed incredible spirit by dressing up in all manner of ways, a favorite being “tacky day.” Classes were given rewards for participation and for answering trivia questions during homeroom.
“What makes a great school is great teachers who invest their lives in our students,” Brian Sweatt, headmaster at Lighthouse Christian School said.
