Last week, Metro police detectives working undercover charged 101 people with various crimes, mostly related to drugs and prostitution. South Precinct more than held their own with several arrests and seizures.
Our friends at the south precinct charged 12 people resulting from various investigations on Tampa Drive, 2nd Avenue South, Murfreesboro Pike, Hickory Hollow Place, Bell Road, and Old Paragon Mills Road. As a part of their actions, 28.8 grams of cocaine, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, 20 pills, three guns and $1,549 in cash were seized.
Over at the Hermiatge Precinct, which also covers part of Antioch, there were nine arrests on Edgehill Avenue, Hillside Avenue, Edmonson Pike, Harding place, and 14th Avenue South. They seized two grams of marijuana.
Elsewhere in Metro Nashville:
Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 9 persons as the result of investigations on Edgehill Avenue, Hillside Avenue, Edmonson Pike, Harding place, and 14th Avenue South. Seized were two grams of marijuana.
West Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on 43rd Avenue North, 14th Avenue North, and Charlotte Pike. Seized were 67 pills, more than five pounds of marijuana, five guns, and $23,236 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Spruce Street, 26th Avenue North, West Elizabeth Road, and Buchanan Street. Seized were 40 grams of marijuana, one gram of cocaine, one half gram of heroin, five pills, five guns, and $19,470 cash.
Madison Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Elm Hill Pike, Rio Vista Drive, Wade Circle and Rivergate Parkway. Seized were eight grams of marijuana, one pill, and $120 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 5 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, and Gallatin Pike. Seized were one gram of cocaine, three grams of heroin, ten hydrocodone pills, one gun, two vehicles, and $5,621 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged 7 persons as the result of investigations on Broadway, Hermitage Avenue, Lindsley Avenue, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 15 grams of marijuana.
People suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
