Another new business is locating in Antioch, this time on Murfreesboro Pike.

Hot on the heels of work on Conn’s HomePlus, Floors & Décor, and a new Zaxby’s, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is preparing to open in Antioch at 2383 Murfreesboro Pike, next to Planet Fitness.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, founded in Pennsylvania in 1982, currently boasts 203 stores in a number of states. Locally, or somewhat locally, they have stores in Gallatin, Tullahoma, Columbus, Clarksville, and Bowling Green.

Traded on the NASCAQ, Friday, Ollie’s stock closed at $22.35 per share. The company reported that for a nine-week period ending January 2, total sales increased 23 percent. Estimates for the fiscal year, which ends January 30, were for net sales of about $760 million, a 19 percent increase, and net income of $37 million.

Ollie’s focuses on selling inventory acquired via closeouts, surplus inventory, liquidations, and undamaged salvage. Categories include housewares, sporting goods, flooring, food, and many others.

There is not target opening date for the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Antioch. Signage is up on the exterior of the store, but interior work is just beginning.
