Antioch Middle Prep teacher is WKRN’s ‘Educator of the Week’

Mrs. Kathleen Fuller, eighth grade English and Language Arts teacher at Antioch Middle Prep, has received the honor of WKRN’s “Educator of the Week.”

Fuller will be featured on News 2 in a special segment during the 10 PM news hour on Thursday, February 4, and again on Friday, February 5, during the 6 AM news hour.

Fuller, who grew up in Buffalo, New York, has been a teacher for 22 years, including 7 years at Antioch Middle Prep. “It was my oldest daughter’s first grade teacher that convinced me to go back to school for my teaching degree. I was doing a lot of volunteer work at the school and she said I was a natural at it,” she recalled.

Antioch’s Executive Principal Celia Conley noted, “Mrs. Fuller puts her all into the classroom.” Fuller is honored to have been nominated and chosen for this recognition. Upon hearing of the honor, she simply said, “Teaching is my life.”

Fuller has been married to Dale for 37 years. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. Fuller has taught in MNPS for 7 years, all at Antioch Middle Prep.
