South Precinct detectives have identified 16-year-old Zackari Tennant as one of the suspects in a violent carjacking last November that left a 32-year-old Nashville woman with gunshot wounds.

A Juvenile Court arrest order has been issued charging Tennant, who was last known to have lived on Lincoya Bay Drive, with especially aggravated robbery and unlawful gun possession.

The investigation, which is being led by Detective Joseph Haislip, concerns the shooting of Tiffany Hindman outside her Apache Trail apartment in Antioch on the evening of Friday, November 20th.  Hindman told detectives that she was confronted in the breezeway of her apartment building by two armed individuals who demanded her car keys.  As the robbers ran with the keys, they opened fire on Hindman, leaving her seriously wounded.  The two fled in Hindman’s Nissan Sentra, which was recovered in South Nashville last month.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Zackari Tennant.  Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.   Persons can also send an electronic tip by texting the word “CASH” along with the message to 274637 (CRIMES), or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.  Those who contact Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
