Surveillance Photos are Important Evidence in Hugo Alfaro Murder Investigation

Alfaro 1South Precinct detectives have several pieces of photographic evidence as they work to identify the killer of Hugo Alfaro in the parking lot of his residence at Stone Ridge Apartments on Piccadilly Row January 29th.

The investigation shows that Alfaro’s debit card was used within 30 minutes of the murder at a Main Street ATM just east of downtown.  The man using the card covered his face with a mask and hoodie.  The card was used shortly after midnight the following day at a Dickerson Pike ATM, and later on January 30th at Hickory Hollow area clothing stores.  The man in the clothing store photos is not masked.  The parking lot cameras showed that the person was driving a light colored Chevrolet Impala.

Pictures from an ATM and the clothing stores accompany this media release.  Anyone recognizing the man depicted is asked to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.  Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.  Persons can also send an electronic tip by texting the word “CASH” along with the message to 274637 (CRIMES), or online at
