A “telephone town hall” will be held at 6:30 pm. Tuesday, March 15 to discuss the next director of Metro Nashville Public Schools.
Mayor Megan Barry and School Board Representative Wil Pinkston will provide an update for South and Southeast Nashville students, parents, teachers and taxpayers on the search.
According to the flyer, registration, available at MNPSnext.org, is required. Just before 6:30 p.m., an operator will call and patch all registered into the call.
On Facebook, Pinkston said, “I’m proud to report that, for the first time in nearly a decade, the Nashville School Board, the Mayor’s Office, and the Metro Council all are rowing in the same direction when it comes to public education. Mayor Megan Barry and other partners are providing outstanding assistance to the school board in our search for the next director of Metro Nashville Public Schools. With this kind of broad-based community support, I’m more optimistic than ever about the future of our schools.”
