Police make several arrests, seizures outside Antioch

badge.jpgIt was another busy week for detectives working undercover in Antioch and the rest of Nashville.

In the South Precinct, 17 people were charged with various crimes in and around Antioch and South Nashville. Areas focused on include 1st Avenue South, Hickory Hollow Parkway, Tampa Drive, Harding Place, Murfreesboro Pike, Glenpark Drive, Druid Drive, and Wallace Road. Police seized cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Andrew Jackson Parkway and Percy Priest Drive.  Seized were one gram of cocaine, one gram of methamphetamine, 116 pills, more than ten pounds of marijuana, one gun, and $5,323 cash.

Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 9 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Edgehill Avenue, Edmonson Pike, Hillside Avenue, and South Street.

West Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Woodland Way, River Road, Highway 70 South, and Delaware Avenue. Seized were seven pills, 1.63 pounds of marijuana, and $2,995 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Buchanan Street, Jefferson Street, Formosa Street, and 28th Avenue North.  Seized were two and a half grams of cocaine, seven grams of marijuana, one gram of MDMA, eleven pills, and one gun.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, McArthur Drive, May Drive, Gallatin Pike, and Globe Road.  Seized were 242 grams of marijuana, .5 gram of cocaine, one gram of heroin, one pill, one vehicle, and $1,269 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, Jones Avenue, Huffine Street, and Hart Lane.  Seized were 17.1 grams of marijuana, .2 gram of cocaine, .6 gram of heroin, ten Xanax pills, and four guns.

Central Precinct detectives charged 8 persons as the result of investigations on Broadway, Lafayette Street, and Academy Place.  Seized were 6.8 grams of marijuana, two Lortab pills and one Xanax pill.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
