Huge SE Easter Egg Hunt this weekend

easterNashville, Tenn. – Alma Sanford, President of Crossings Nashville Action Partnership (CNAP) announced that CNAP is hosting this year’s 13th annual egg hunt and festival that will be held on Saturday, March 26, at the Southeast Community Center, Library and Park, 5260 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Antioch, TN 37013.

A community-building event in its 13th year, the Southeast Nashville Easter Egg Hunt and Festival expects to serve 5,000 to 8,000 people with its four age appropriate egg hunts giving away 30,000 candy-filled eggs with a large assortment of prizes including toys of all types. Entertainment includes live stage acts including the Glengarry Scottish Highland Dancers of Middle Tennessee and the Evanesce Internacional Spanish Dancers . The Nashville Library will have their puppet truck onsite to delight the children with a performance of Hansel & Gretel. There will be four large inflatable trampolines, slides, etc. Local individuals and community groups will sell food and other merchandise inside the community center and food trucks and booths will sell food outside in the park.

Another feature is the cartoon characters strolling the event grounds for photo opportunities. This year the Easter Bunny will have an assortment of ‘friends’ with him.

The planning committee includes members of community groups, colleges, high schools, both public and private, members of faith communities, businesses, Metro Council Members and individuals. Major Partners are Ferrell Automotive, the Nelson Mazda Auto Dealership, Kroger, El Jefe Radio, Radio Station 92Q, Metro Nashville Parks Department, the Metro Nashville Police Department, Nashville Public Library, MetroPCS, Jack Bird and Knowledge Academies. Well known Victor Chatman of Chatman Studios will be back as our Emcee. He will introduce our sponsors, elected officials and other dignitaries, as well as our entertainers.
