More than 100 charged by undercover detectives

Local precinct detectives were busy last week, charging 28 people, including some in the Antioch area. Local detectives accounted for 26% of undercover arrests last week and seized significant amounts of drugs and money.

South Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Tampa Drive, Bell Road, Towne Village Drive, Plus Park Boulevard, Linbar Drive, Waikiki Boulevard, and Hickory Highlands Drive.  Seized were approximately 63 grams of cocaine, 1.5 grams of heroin, 38 grams of marijuana, five pills, and two ounces of a codeine based drink.

Hermitage Precinct detectives were busy with seizures that included $67,625 in cash, along with four vehicles, three guns, 152 grams of cocaine, eight grams of heroin, more than 31 pound of pot, and 67 pills. They also charged 12 people as a result of investigations. The areas they focused on were Wilowen Drive, Mt. View Road, Spence Lane, Percy Priest Drive, and Elm Hill Pike.

Elsewhere in Metro:
Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 8 persons as the result of investigations on Thompson Lane, Old Hickory Boulevard, Nolensville Pike, and Church Street.  Seized were 30 grams of marijuana and .7 gram of cocaine.

West Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, River Road, Old Hickory Boulevard, 54th Avenue North, and White Bridge Road.  Seized were two pills, seven grams of marijuana, and .1 gram of cocaine.

North Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Lloyd Road, Monroe Street, Ashland City Highway, and Timothy Road.  Seized were one .5 gram of cocaine, one gram of heroin, 81 grams of marijuana, and 30 Lortab pills.

Pike, Forrest Park Drive, Campbell Road, Walton Lane, and Roosevelt Avenue. Seized were 133 grams of marijuana, four grams of heroin, and .5 gram of cocaine heroin.

East Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, Queen Avenue, Eastland Avenue, and Edwin Street.  Seized were one gram of heroin, 29.5 grams of marijuana, 19 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and two handguns.

Central Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Broadway at 7th Avenue South, Lewis Street, Perkins Street, Lafayette Street, Drexel Street, Mulberry Street at 6th Avenue South, 4th Avenue South, and Hermitage Avenue.  A small amount of cocaine and marijuana were recovered.
