Amberlee’ N. Brooks will be hosting an event to formally announce her candidacy for District 53 and kick off her campaign on May 26, 2016.
“I have spoken to many residents within District 53, and I am excited about beginning the campaign and getting to meet more people within the District. I believe that the leadership in District 53 has lost touch with the people they have been elected to represent, and I am committed to being their champion when I am elected,” said Brooks.
District 53 covers much of the area of Davidson County south of I-440, east of I-65, and west of I-24, plus the cities of Berry Hill and Oak Hill.
“Our community deserves a right to be heard in the Legislature and share in the economic prosperity we are seeing across the State of Tennessee and in the rest of Nashville. I am committed to ensure that our community will be revitalized and restored through focused attention on education and business advocacy for our community,” said Brooks.
Amberlee’ has been a resident of Nashville since 2002. She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2013 at the age of 19 with a degree in History, and a minor in Political Science.
