The second annual Back to School Community for the Antioch Cluster is set for July 17.
This year, the event will move to the greenspace/park at The Global Mall, near the Southeast Branch Library and Regional Community Center.
Last year’s event, which was held at Antioch High School, saw hundreds of students visit to pick up school supplies, learn about various services, and meet area business owners.
This year’s event will be held from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at 5252 Hickory Hollow Parkway. Partners include Metro Nashville Public Schools, the Dee Davis Foundation, and The Pencil Foundation. Additional sponsors include Community Achieves and Metro Parks.
Activities include vendors, business booths, information about services, as well as a dunk tank, face painting, DJ, food trucks, cotton candy, shaved ice, corn hole, pop shot, basketball, an obstacle course, a dance contest and much more.
