Ezell-Harding students rock AP exams

Several Ezell-Harding Christian School students have earned Advanced Placement honors stemming from the 2015-2016 school year.

Morgan Adkisson, Maxie Cagle, David Hammett, and Joe Morris were named AP Scholars. In order to qualify for the honor you must make a 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. Collectively, the four scored 3.7 on their exams.

Joe Morris was named an AP Scholar with Honors. In order to qualify for this, a student must score 3.25 or higher on four AP exams. Morris averaged a 3.5 on his four exams.

This past May, 18 juniors and 20 seniors took one or more AP exams. 70 percent scored a 3 or higher, which is 10 percent higher than both the state and national averages. This is the second year in a row that teacher Jon Suttles’ students had a 100 percent passing rate in AP Calculus.

The school offers AP, or college-level, courses in Calculus, English Literature, European History, Statistics, and United States History.
