Two being charged in area robberies

Two serial robbery suspects are in custody charged with the May 9th hold-up of Arby’s at 2350 Murfreesboro Pike. One is also being held for allegedly shooting an Antioch ATM.


Felix Matos, 18, and Paige Hammonds, 24, are accused of entering the restaurant at 9:30 p.m. and taking cash from the registers at gunpoint.  They also robbed employees.

Additionally, Hammonds, allegedly fired shots on June 22nd at the Regions Bank ATM, 5218 Hickory Hollow Parkway, and minutes later, robbed two men in separate hold-ups in an apartment complex parking lot on Hickory Hollow Place.

Matos, of Artelia Drive, is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a gun during the commission of a felony, theft of property, and drug possession.  He is being held in lieu of $207,500 bond.

Hammonds, of New Towne Road, is charged with five counts of aggravated robbery and vandalism.  He is being held in lieu of $195,000 bond.
