The 18-year-old woman attacked and raped midday Thursday at Hamilton Creek Recreation Center off Bell Road today met with a TBI sketch artist and assisted in the development of a drawing of her attacker.
The rapist is described as being of Hispanic descent, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, who wore khaki pants, a black shirt with possible black stripes, and sunglasses. He fled in a black four-door sedan, perhaps an early 2000s model, with tinted windows and a spoiler on the back. It had factory wheels.
Anyone associating that vehicle with a man resembling the attached sketch is asked to immediately contact the MNPD’s Sex Crimes Unit at 615-862-7540 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward. Spanish speaking operators are available.
Detectives have noted that the rapist in this case has the same general description of a man who sexually assaulted a 29-year-old woman in the Hickory Trace apartment complex on Hickory Hollow Place on the night of July 20th. The victim in that case accidentally left her keys in the front door. An assailant entered, woke the victim, choked and raped her before fleeing. He was described as being of Hispanic descent, 5’5” to 5’7” tall, who wore a black shirt and red shorts. The victim in this case worked with a TBI sketch artist this week to produce a drawing of her assailant, which is also attached.
Anyone with information on this case is also asked to contact the Sex Crimes Office at 862-7540 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
