The week ahead: School board, CNAP and D33 meeting

This week, there are a host of events and activities going on, so let’s jump right in.

Of course, all private and public schools in Antioch are back in session and going on full days. Be sure to be on the lookout for children and buses, and be aware of the impact the traffic might have on your commute.

The Farmer’s Market will be held Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. As always, it is next to the Library and a variety of goods, including fresh produce, soups, meats, and many other products, will be available for you to purchase. I hope you’ll head out to support our Farmer’s Market.

The MNPS Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. at 2601 Bransford Avenue. The agenda may be viewed here.

The Crossings Nashville Action Partnership will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lakeshore Christian Church, 5434 Belle Forge Lane East in Antioch. A number of local businesses and local law enforcement will be sharing information.

Thursday at 6:30, a District 33 community meeting will be held at Cane Ridge Community Club, 6043 Cane Ridge Road. Facilitated by D33 Council Member Sam Coleman, the meeting will focus on the Cane Ridge Community, but is open to the general public.

Saturday, August 13, will be the second meeting for residents of Antioch and S.E. Nashville focusing on planning and zoning and how to work to improve the quality of life in the area. This informational meeting will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Southeast Branch Library, in Meeting Room 1.
