The Week Ahead: School board, football and much more

Another week down and another to go! Let’s break out the planners and get to work.

The Metro Nashville Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at 2601 Bransford Avenue. It doesn’t look to be a heavy agenda, but you can view it at this link.

There are still a few weeks left to enjoy the Southeast Farmer’s Market, held under the awning at the Southeast Branch Library. There are lots of goodies, including sweets, produce, and much more. Stop by between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday.

Metro Council Member Sam Coleman will have a District 33 town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hermitage Community Center, 3720 James Kay Lane. District 33 includes a swath of Antioch and though the meeting is being held in Hermitage, residents from Antioch are welcome to attend. For details, email [email protected].

This Friday night there are no home football games. All kickoffs are scheduled for 7 p.m.

  • Cane Ridge will play at Mt. Juliet
  • Antioch High School will visit LaVergne
  • Ezell-Harding Christian School is at Grace Baptist Academy in Chattanooga
  • Lighthouse Christian School visits Pleasant View Christian School

This week’s weather will be much like Sunday. Partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s and lows in the 70s. The chance of precipitation each day ranges from 10 percent to 20 percent.
