Council Member Karen Johnson, District 29, is encouraging citizens to attend Thursday’s meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals and express their views on a proposed Murfreesboro Pike apartment complex.
The meeting will feature a 1 p.m. Public Hearing and will be held at the Howard Office Building, 200 Second Avenue.
Johnson said in a message to AntiochTenn.com that she is looking for people to support the appeal of the issuance of a permit that would allow proposed apartments to be built in the Forest View Planned Urban Development.
According to the Board of Zoning Appeals Agenda, Johnson is challenging the opinion of the zoning administrator regarding building permit eligibility. The property in question is at 2858 Murfreesboro Pike.
“A 1 p.m. meeting is hard for people, so they can take a lunch and come to the meeting,” Johnson wrote. “The meeting is not long.”
She also added that people should encourage neighbors who do not work during the day to attend the meeting.
