Tons of local football tonight

All four local high schools will be in action in Antioch Friday night, making it a great night to catch some awesome high school football.

In a game that could ultimately determine the Regional 6A title, the Cane Ridge Raves will host the Hendersonville Commandos. Both teams are undefeated at 2-0 and both are contenders to go deep in the playoffs later this year.

Hendersonville won the two teams only match up, which was last year, by a 42-25 margin.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and if you can’t make it, the game will be aired live on WUXP-30.

Antioch High saw some improvement last week as they moved to 1-1 on the season. They’ll need it as they host 16th-ranked Wilson Central at 7 p.m. at Antioch High School.

Ezell-Harding Christian School got a win last week, evening their record to 1-1. They take on Gleason High School, also 1-1, in a game Ezell-Harding should take. Kickoff is 7:30 at Ezell-Harding.

Finally, private school powerhouse Lighthouse Christian School, 2-0, will host Sacred Heart of Jesus High School, 2-1, out of Jackson. Both teams are known for high-scoring offense, but the locals, Lighthouse, should win this game. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
