The week ahead: Where to start? TONS happening in Antioch

After a bit of a light week, things are heating up, though the weather is cooling down a little. It is a busy week, so let’s check out the highlights.

Monday, the Farmer’s Market will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. outside the Southeast Branch Library. There are only three more Mondays left in the “season” so head on out and visit them.

There will be an important District 33 community meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. View Elementary School, 3820 Murfreesboro Road in the cafeteria. It concerns the rezoning of property on Old Hickory Road to allow for 79 single-family homes. The purpose of the meeting, organized by Council Member Sam Coleman, is to answer questions concerning the proposal.

Also Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. is the monthly Crossings Nashville Action Partnership meeting. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Antioch, 201 Crossings Place. There’s always something new to learn at the meeting, which is free and open to the public.

Of course, we can’t have too many things on Tuesday night, can we? The Metro Nashville Public Schools Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday at 2601 Bransford Avenue. The full agenda may be viewed at this link.

Council Member Tanaka Vercher will be holding a District 28 Community Meeting Saturday at 11 a.m. Scheduled for 90 minutes, she will host Bill Penn, the Assistant Director of Codes. The meeting is held at Apollo Middle Prep, 631 Richards Road.
