District 33 meetings to discuss Urban Services District Saturday

A couple of meetings will be held Saturday to explain the differences between the Urban Services District and the General Services District and how it might impact homeowners in Antioch.

A proposal is expected that will transition parts of Antioch into the Urban Services District.

Here is the announcement from D-33 Council Member Sam Coleman:

As you know the administration will introduce legislation that requires all property in the General Services District to become annexed into the Urban Services District. I have scheduled two community meetings in order for you to hear what the difference is in both USD and GSD.

I would like to know what your thoughts concerning this legislation. Representatives from the various Metro Departments will be available to answer questions.

I hope you will be able to attend one of the scheduled meetings.
