Police looking for driver in hit and run

hit-and-runCrash Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in the hit and run collision Monday morning that injured School Crossing Guard Lemuel Frazier, 58.

Frazier was directing traffic at Richards Road and Dowdy Drive when he was struck by the passenger side of a red four door car, possibly a Chevrolet Aveo. Frazier was knocked to the ground. The collision also caused the passenger side mirror to fall off. Frazier was transported to Southern Hills Medical Center where he was treated for bruising/injured knee and released.

Frazier was wearing his reflective vest and holding an 18 inch reflective stop sign when the collision occurred. The suspect is described as an Asian man with black hair who wore eyeglasses. The attached photo of a man kneeling by Frazier after he was struck was taken by a passerby who believes him to have been the driver. He left the scene before police arrived.
