A bill sponsored by the Minority Caucus of the Metro Council, led by Metro Council Member Karen Johnson, is nearing final approval.
Johnson represents District 29, which includes parts of Antioch.
The proposal, ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-419, would require all elected officials in Nashville to take diversity training. It passed on second reading Tuesday night and will have its third and final vote on Oct. 18.
