Undercover detectives net 30 arrests, more than $17,000 seized

Last week, local detectives from the South and Hermitage precincts charged 30 people with various – mostly drug and prostitution – crimes.

Seized in the arrests were cocaine, heroin, marijuana, illegal pills, four guns, a vehicle, and $17,155 in cash. Undercover efforts were focused on Crenshaw Street, Harding Place, Arbor Ridge Drive, Linbar Drive, Artelia Drive, Shasta Drive, Tusculum Road,  Old Hickory Boulevard, Central Pike, and Clairidge Drive.

Elsewhere in Nashville:
Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on 8th Avenue South, Wedgewood Avenue, Patterson Street, Charlotte Avenue, Trousdale Lane, and Harding Place.  Detectives seized one gram of cocaine, 12 grams of marijuana, and five pills.

West Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, Charlotte Pike, Alabama Avenue, Cabot Drive, Maudina Avenue, and Waco Avenue.  Detectives seized three grams of marijuana, three marijuana plants, one gram of cocaine, and 1.5 grams of heroin.

North Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, Trinity Lane, Seminary Street, Whites Creek Pike, Moormans Arm Road, Brick Church Pike, and Kings Lane. Detectives seized .3 gram of heroin, 58 grams of cocaine, 44 grams of marijuana, eleven pills, two handguns, one shotgun, and $11,824 cash.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, and May Drive. Detectives seized 14 grams of marijuana, 30 grams of heroin, 2.5 grams of cocaine, two guns, and $2,243 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, Brick Church Pike, Treutland Avenue, and Donald Street.  Detectives seized more than four pounds of marijuana, five grams of hashish, 1.5 grams of cocaine, .1 gram of heroin, 37 Xanax pills, seven additional prescription pills, two handguns, one rifle, one shotgun, and $268 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on  1st Avenue North and 6th Avenue North. Detectives seized 85 hits of LSD, eight grams of cocaine, eight grams of marijuana, three milliliters of liquid LSD, 20 ecstasy pills, and $1,592  cash.
