Cane Ridge comes from behind, advances in playoffs

l6b8jj7c_400x400Cane Ridge remained in the playoffs Friday, staging a strong comeback in the second half to beat Summit in the opening round.

Down 21-0 at halftime, the Ravens, playing at Cane Ridge, began a comeback led by Jordan Bell who spurred the Ravens by scoring four second-half touchdowns. One other touchdown capped the 35-21 come-from-behind victory for Cane Ridge, giving them their first playoff victory in school history.

Friday, undefeated Cane Ridge (11-0) will host Beech (7-4) at Cane Ridge. According to MaxPreps, Cane Ridge goes into the game ranked 12th in the state and 424th nationally.

In other local playoff action, Ezell-Harding Christian School was beaten 49-13 by Webb School in Knoxville. The Eagles finished the season 5-7.
