Area detectives arrest 35

Undercover detectives in the South and Hermitage Precincts, both of which cover parts of Antioch, were busy with 35 arrests last week.

In addition, they seized a bit of pot, cocaine, heroin, two guns, and more than $1,100 in cash. Investigations focused on areas around Drummond Drive, 1st Avenue South, Karen Ray Court, 2nd Avenue South, Murfreesboro Pike, Cedarview Drive, Lafayette Street, University Court, Donelson Pike, Andrew Jackson Parkway, Stewarts Ferry Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, and Lebanon Pike

Elsewhere in Nashville:

Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s eight precincts charged 111 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 9 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Charlotte Pike, and Patterson Street.  Detectives seized 135 grams of marijuana, one gram of methamphetamine, .2 gram of heroin, and $1,236 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, White Bridge Road, Laramie Street, and Louisiana Avenue. Detectives seized .4 gram of marijuana, .5 gram of heroin, and two pills.

North Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, Buchanan Street, Cockrill Street, Dr. D. B. Todd Jr. Boulevard, Brick Church Pike, and Kings Lane. Seized were 2.7 grams of heroin, 5.3 grams of cocaine, 24.5 grams of marijuana, one pill, and two guns.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Cedarwood Court, Doverside Drive, Dickerson Pike, Gallatin Pike, and Emmitt Avenue.  Detectives seized 9.6 grams of marijuana, 9.5 grams of cocaine, .2 gram of methamphetamine, 23 Valium pills, two vehicles, and $6,538 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Queen Avenue.  Detectives seized 3.5 grams of marijuana, 142.5 grams of cocaine, three grams of heroin, six pills, .6 gram of MDMA, one vehicle, and one gun.

Central Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Broadway, 14th Avenue North, Lafayette Street, Middleton Street, and 8th Avenue South. Detectives seized 20 grams of marijuana.
