Pedestrian struck by car, killed, on Bell Road

The Medical Examiner is working to positively identify the pedestrian killed Wednesday night as she attempted to cross Bell Road near Cedar Pointe Parkway.

She had an Illinois driver’s license for a 29-year-old woman, but her injuries prevented a positive identification from the photo.

She was struck at 9 p.m. by a westbound 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Kenneth Corbett, 72, of Antioch.  She was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark colored clothing. The woman was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.

There was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.
