Tuesday, during a special meeting of the Metropolitan Board of education, the David Williams and Dr. Betty Molina Morgan, co-chairs of The Transition Team, will present their full findings to the Board of Education.
The Transition Team was appointed by Director of Schools Dr. Shawn Joseph and their report will feature more than 100 short- and long-term recommendations that identify and address key issues in the school system.
The recommendations are drawn from the Transition Team’s findings, which were released in late November as part of Dr. Joseph’s report on his first 100 days in the district.
The release of Transition Team’s full report culminates the work of the 47 committee members who worked in four subcommittees focused on Student Achievement, School Choice, Human Resources and Talent Management, and Communications and Community Engagement.
The meeting will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 7 in the Metro Schools Board Room, 2601 Bransford Avenue.
Williams is the Vanderbilt University vice chancellor for university affairs and athletics, and Morgan president and CEO of The Morgan Education Group.
