Thornton’s is set to open its second Antioch location, this time a Thornton’s Travel Center located at 13010 Old Hickory Boulevard at Interstate 24.
The travel Center is scheduled to have a grand opening Friday, March 17.
The first 100 guests through the front door beginning at 6 a.m. will receive a new Refreshing Rewards (RR) card pre-loaded with prizes. One lucky guest will win free gas for a year! Existing RR members can receive a new card for their chance to win as well.
During the first 14 days after opening, Thorntons will be sampling fresh, hot food items right from the kitchen. Guests are encouraged to stop by daily to discover all the new store has to offer!
Guests can enjoy hot breakfast, lunch, and snack foods prepared fresh on-site every single day, in addition to a variety of traditional, delicious roller grill items. Breakfast is served daily until 10:30 a.m. and includes hot items including a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, ham, egg and cheese croissant, or bacon, egg and cheese burrito. Lunch options include a cheeseburger, buffalo chicken ranch burrito or crispy chicken sandwich. For all day snacks, guests can enjoy fresh selections such as soft pretzels or mozzarella sticks. In addition to the new hot food selections, guests can select from fresh fruit, gourmet deli sandwiches, yogurt parfaits and more.
At Thorntons, a real cook prepares real hot food in a real kitchen, all in about three minutes. A busy life on the road means there’s not always time to sit back, relax and eat a meal…but Thorntons’ guests won’t have to sacrifice taste or quality for speed. For the 14 days following the event, Thorntons will be sampling free food from the kitchen. Guests are encouraged to stop by daily to discover the variety of new options available including bacon, egg & cheese burritos, hot, salted pretzels, and more!
At 10 a.m. March 17 there will be a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening. Larry Trotter, the Director of Store Operations-Southern Division for Thornton’s will be on hand as well Council Members Sam Coleman and Jacobia Dowell. Also in attendance will be Chamber Event Coordinator Carolin Askew and a representative of Mayor Megan Barry’s office.
Thornton’s has another Antioch location at 1400 Eagle View Boulevard, at the corner of Bell Road.
