A new Thornton’s has opened in Antioch, on Old Hickory Boulevard at Interstate 24, given an area that has looked somewhat run down a bright and welcoming site.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening was held Friday morning, and the cold rain did little to dissuade crowds from stopping at the location, which officially opened at 6 a.m.
The Thornton’s Real Kitchen. Real Food. location features a wide-ranging menu of warm foods, including breakfast and lunch/dinner favorites, for busy people. Of course, it
has all the other offerings of a convenience store, including gas, various food items, restrooms, and diesel fuel for long-haul semis.
For the next 14 days, Thorntons will be sampling free food from the kitchen. Guests are encouraged to stop by daily to discover the variety of new options available including bacon, egg & cheese burritos, hot, salted pretzels, and more.
Attendees to the ribbon cutting included Metro Council Members Sam Coleman and Jacobia Dowell, representatives of the Mayor’s office, Crossings Nashville Action Partnership, and other local businesses.
Thornton’s other Antioch location is 1400 Eagle View Boulevard, at the corner of Bell Road.
