Local detectives net arrests and seizures in Antioch area

Detectives were hard at work last week making arrests and taking drugs off the streets.

In the South Precinct, 12 people were charged with various crimes resulting from investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Blue Mountain Lane, Haywood Lane and Bell Road. Seizures include pot, pills, Fentanyl patches, and two guns.

The Hermitage Precinct netted 22 arrests from investigations in the Antioch area and in the Hermitage area. Focus areas were Percy Priest Drive, Bell Road, Ravine Drive, Central Pike, Briley Parkway, Murfreesboro Pike, Lebanon Pike, and Elm Hill Pik. Seizures included cocaine, marijuana, pills, heroin, a vehicle, and cash.

Elsewhere in Nashville:
Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Harding Place, Wedgewood Avenue, and Thompson Lane.  Detectives seized 111 pills, one gram of cocaine, and 17 grams of marijuana.

West Precinct detectives charged 8 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, Davidson Street, River Road, and White Bridge Road. Detectives seized 16.3 grams of marijuana, .5 gram of heroin, 46 grams of methamphetamine, one gun, and $1,410 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, Timothy Drive, Buena Vista Pike, Buchanan Street, Dr. D.B Todd Jr. Boulevard, and Westport Drive. Detectives seized 726.3 grams of marijuana, .3 gram of heroin, two handguns, and $400 cash.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Kate Street, Dickerson Pike, and Myatt Drive.  Detectives seized 18 grams of marijuana, one gram of cocaine, and two grams of heroin.

East Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Douglas Avenue, Ewing Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Donald Street.  Detectives seized 3.7 grams of marijuana, 3.5 grams of cocaine, 1.1 grams of heroin, one gram of methamphetamine, and 30 Lortab pills.

Central Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, 8th Avenue South, Deaderick Street, Drexel Street, and Broadway. Detectives seized 22 grams of marijuana and two grams of cocaine.

Citizens suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
