Detectives make multiple arrests in area

It was a busy week for area detectives, particularly those working out of local precincts.

Detectives in the South and Hermitage precincts, which serve Antioch among other areas, netted 37 arrests, mostly for drug and prostitution related crimes.

Seizures included cocaine, marijuana, pills, seven guns, and more than $30,000 (yes, 30 thousand dollars) in cash. Investigations were focused around Nolensville Pike, Harding Place, Thompson Lane, Bell Road, Trousdale Lane, Central Pike, Hamilton Church Road, Murfreesboro Pike, Lebanon Pike, Forest View Drive, Kinwood Drive, and Elm Hill Pike

Meanwhile, other precincts were also hard at work.
Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Harding Place, Thompson Lane, Bell Road, and Trousdale Lane.  Detectives seized 14.5 grams of cocaine, 32 pills, 21 grams of marijuana, 2.7 grams of heroin, three guns, one vehicle, and $1,807 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, Coley Davis Road, and Harding Pike. Detectives seized 59 pills and
32 grams of marijuana.

North Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, Cephas Street, Tucker Road, 16th Avenue North, Wheless Street, and Saint Louis Street. Detectives seized 19.1 grams of cocaine, .7 gram of methamphetamine, .3 gram of heroin, ten grams of marijuana, two pills, and two handguns.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Rivergate Parkway, Wade Circle, and Dickerson Pike.  Detectives seized eleven grams of heroin and 14 grams of marijuana.

East Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Douglas Avenue, Gallatin Pike, Joyce Lane, Donald Street, and Ewing Lane.  Detectives seized 22 grams of marijuana, 2.7 grams of cocaine, 1.5 grams of heroin, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 76 Suboxone strips, 22 Xanax pills, and $1,523 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, 5th Avenue South, Deaderick Street, Lemont Drive, and Broadway. Detectives seized 20 grams of marijuana and one gun.

Citizens suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
