MNPS summer meals program announced

Once more, to help combat youth hunger, Metro Nashville Public Schools is offering free meals to area youth this summer.

According to the district, a lack of nutrition in the summer months can set up a cycle for poor academic problems and a myriad of health issues.

To be eligible, the children must be under the age of 18. The following sites will participate:

JE Moss Elementary School – June 1 to July 21

1-2 p.m.

Pearl-Cohn High School – June 5 to July 7

Fall-Hamilton Elementary – June 1 to July 21
1-2 p.m.
