Fairgrounds area traffic Tuesday could back up due to concert

This Tuesday (June 27, 2017), the Fairgrounds Nashville will host The Van’s Warp Tour Concert Series at Five Points Park on the Fairgrounds property.

Close to 10,000 people will be in attendance to watch their favorite bands perform on multiple stages throughout the complex. Expect traffic issues near the Fairgrounds. Wedgewood Avenue will be closed for through traffic from Rains Avenue to Nolensville Pike from 7am-8pm. The concert will extend the closed streets until 11pm. Metro Police officers and Fairgrounds parking staff will be on hand to direct traffic.

“It is always exciting to host an event like Van’s Warp Tour,” said Fairgrounds Event Coordinator Scott Wallace.” Our hope is to get the word out so our neighbors and others will be able to navigate the route to prevent too many traffic problems. We will have signage and people out to alleviate issues.”

The event is in its fourth year at The Fairgrounds. Each year the attendance grows. For more information on the concert go to www.vanswarptour.com.
