Ezell-Harding Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of Mark Rayburn as the new Head Baseball Coach and Lower School Physical Education Teacher.
Coach Rayburn was an assistant coach at Trevecca Nazarene University, his alma mater, where he was a two-year starter and team captain. As a player, he was named the NCCAA Player of the Week and was the recipient of the Trevecca Leadership Endowment Scholarship. As an assistant at Trevecca, he was responsible for recruiting and player development and managing the playing surface of all athletic fields. Coach Rayburn also played at Columbia State, where he served as a captain in 2011. Most recently, he has served as an assistant baseball coach and special education teacher at Independence High School. He is a graduate of McMinn Central High School in Englewood, TN. Coach Rayburn is engaged to be married this month to Caryn Lambright.
Coach Rayburn states, “I am excited to get the opportunity to invest in Ezell-Harding Christian School players and build them up not only as men but also in their faith. It is a great opportunity to not only work with the baseball team but also with the lower school students as well.”
Coach Rayburn will be on campus at the beginning of August to meet players, students, and families.
