Voters in the Antioch-area (District 33) can cast their ballot this week during final days of early voting at the Davidson County Election Commission main office on Tuesday, August 8 through Thursday, August 10.
The special election is being held after former council member, Sam Coleman was selected by his colleagues to fill the General Sessions judge position previously held by Casey Moreland.
“With our extended hours and centrally located office in the community, we hope Antioch residents exercise their civic duty by casting their vote to help shape the community,” said Jeff Roberts, Davidson County administrator of elections.
The only early voting location for the District 33 Metro Special election is Davidson County Election Commission – Main Office, 1417 Murfreesboro Pike. The early voting site opens at 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and until 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
The five contending District 33 candidates include:
- Jack Byrd III
- Martez Coleman
- Tim Herndon
- Antoinette Lee
- Michael E. Mayhew
All voters must present a Federal or Tennessee State government-issued photo ID unless an exception applies. Student IDs are not acceptable.
Election Day is set for Tuesday, August 15.
