HCA’s TriStar Health System celebrated the grand opening of its new Simulation Learning Center (SLC) with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 7.
HCA/TriStar Health representatives, including Heather Rohan, President and CEO of the TriStar Health Division, welcomed community members, healthcare professionals, elected officials and dignitaries to the new state-of-the-art facility.
The SLC, located at the TriStar Medical Plaza in Antioch, represents a $3 million investment that will support the TriStar Nurse Residency program and will provide continued learning opportunities for the nearly 4,000 TriStar nurses.
Following brief remarks and the ribbon-cutting, nursing professional development specialists led guests on tours throughout the 13,000-square-foot facility, where they could view the SLC’s high-tech classrooms and simulated healthcare environments, which includes 15 simulation beds and 19 simulated patients.
