Detectives net drugs, guns in undercover work

South Precinct detectives, working in Antioch and the area, made 17 arrests last week related to drugs.

The investigations focused on Lewis Street, Lincoln Street, Trimble Street, Chestnut Street, Murfreesboro Pike, Harding Mall Drive, Wallace Road, Shasta Drive, Aster Drive, Chimneytop Drive.  Detectives seized methamphetamine, marijuana, pills, and guns.

Elsewhere in Nashville:

Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Powell Avenue, Nolensville Pike, Thompson Lane, Trousdale Drive, Bransford Avenue, and Harding Place. Detectives seized four grams of heroin, .25 grams of methamphetamine, 53 pills, and $205 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Cabin Hill Road, 2nd Avenue North, Old Hickory Boulevard, Frist Boulevard, Bell Road, McGavock Pike, Andrew Jackson Parkway, Jackson Trace, McCann Street, and Stewarts Ferry Pike.  Detectives seized more than one half pound of marijuana, 48 pills, three grams of heroin, one gram of cocaine, five guns (two reported stolen), and $1,685 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 9 persons as the result of investigations on 40th Avenue North, Robertson Road, Charlotte Pike, Kentucky Avenue, and 51st Avenue North.  Detectives seized one pill and one gram of methamphetamine.

North Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, Cliff Drive, 16th Avenue North, Cockrill Street, Scovel Street, and West Hamilton Avenue. Detectives seized more than one kilo of cocaine, 14 grams of marijuana, .5 gram of heroin, one vehicle, and $1,337 cash.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Village Trail, and Doverside Drive.  Detectives seized several pills.

East Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Litton Avenue. Detectives seized more than three pounds of marijuana, 14 grams of cocaine, one gram of Molly, .5 gram of heroin, two guns, one vehicle, and $2,384 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Broadway, Lafayette Street, 2nd Avenue, 5th Avenue, Fogg Street, Middleton Street, and Ash Street. Detectives seized 81.6 grams of marijuana, two grams cocaine, 18 pills, two guns, and $3,012 cash.
