The July 31st two-car crash on Antioch Pike at Wingate Drive that claimed the life of an 87-year-old driver has now resulted in a vehicular homicide indictment.

Kevin Carcamo-Rodriguez, 20, of Lutie Street, is charged with vehicular homicide by drag racing and vehicular homicide by recklessness. He is free on $50,000 bond and will be arraigned in Criminal Court in the near future.
Carcamo-Rodriguez was traveling west on Antioch Pike in a 2014 Nissan 370 when he hit a Buick sedan being driven by James Bryan of Antioch. Bryan had just turned to travel east on Antioch Pike. The elderly man was pinned inside his car and had to be extricated by the Nashville Fire Department. He later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
