Skate To Hydrate
January 27, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$10
My name is Cody Ramangkoun, senior at Blackman High. I am involved with an organization called Key Club serving as the Lieutenant Governor for the Kentucky-Tennessee District. Key Club International’s Newest Service Partner Liaison is the Thirst Project. The Thirst Project exists to build freshwater wells in developing countries through the education and activation of students. As Key Club Members, making a difference in our communities and the world isn’t anything new. It’s what we do best.
I’ve decided to create a project to help spread awareness of the global water crisis called Skate to Hydrate! The Project is held on Friday, January 27th, 2017 from 7:30-9:30 pm at the Ford Ice Center located in Antioch, Tennessee (5264 Hickory Hollow Pl, Antioch, TN 37013).
Admission will be $10 per person or $6 for anyone under the age of ten. The Ford Ice Center Representatives stated that 25% of the proceeds will go towards our non-profit, The Thirst Project, if we have over 100 skaters. Therefore, we need at least 100 participants to attend to have the proceeds go towards our cause. When showing up, Participants should state they are with Skate to Hydrate, Key Club or bring in a flyer. This event will be open to the public to ensure we reach the 100 participant mark as well as spread awareness about the thirst project to a broader audience.
In addition to this, there will be a quick and easy service project: A Coat Drive! People can start collecting coats whenever they feel, and can bring the coats to Ford Ice on our Skate to Hydrate Night! The coats will then be given to a local Salvation Army or a LifeWay Drive.
I was wondering if your company can help spread the word of this project in order for us to bring the community together to help this cause. If you have any questions, please let me know at [email protected]! Thank you in advance.
