Antioch’s Jordan Bakke awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship

Jordan Bakke is a long time Antioch resident and a graduate of Antioch’s Ezell Harding Christian School, and was recently awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship.

He recently graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in international development.  The Fulbright award will allow Jordan to study abroad for the next year teaching English in Kazakhstan.

Undercover detectives make 17 arrests

Last week, South Precinct undercover detectives made 17 arrests, seizing cocaine, marijuana, pills, and cash. Their investigations focused on n Cane Ridge Road, Northcrest Commons Circle, Perkins Street, Fesslers Lane, Countryside Drive, Nolensville Pike, Tampa Drive, Shasta Drive, Plus Park Boulevard, Lewis Street, North Hill Street, and Claiborne Street. Elsewhere in Nashville:

Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Harding Place, Edgehill Avenue, Patterson Street, Charlotte Avenue, Foster Avenue, and Trousdale Lane. Detectives seized 63 grams of marijuana, 1.1 grams of cocaine, .2 gram of heroin, 12 pills, and $1,480 cash. Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Lebanon Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, Stewarts Ferry Pike, New Hope Road, Saundersville Road, Andrew Jackson Parkway, and Central Pike.
