A highly modified 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle HPA GT6 is turning heads as it prepares to cross the auction block. Built by HPA Motorsports of Langley, British Columbia, this Beetle is far removed from its humble economy-car roots, boasting a twin-turbocharged VR6 engine, 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and serious performance credentials that rival modern hot hatches.

The HPA GT6 package transforms the Beetle into a track-ready machine. Under the hood sits a 2.8-liter VR6 outfitted with twin KKK 404 turbochargers, twin intercoolers, and a stainless-steel dual-exit exhaust system. In 2024, one of the original turbochargers was swapped for a BorgWarner K04 unit, and the factory Bosch ECU was replaced with a Link TTLink TTX ECU for improved tuning capabilities. The engine sends power to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, delivering 357 wheel horsepower and 363 lb-ft of torque, as confirmed by a September 2024 dyno sheet.

The exterior matches the car’s performance upgrades, wearing a Techno Blue Pearl finish and a Dietrich Wide Body Cup kit that accommodates 18-inch Porsche Turbo Twist wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888R tires. Stopping power is provided by Porsche-sourced calipers up front with slotted rotors at all corners, while a KW coilover suspension sharpens handling.

Inside, the cabin has been modified with Sparco Evo II bucket seats, Stroud multi-point harnesses, and additional gauges for boost and coolant temperature. Despite its track-ready upgrades, it retains air conditioning, cruise control, and a Monsoon sound system, making it surprisingly livable. The odometer shows just 20,000 miles, with nearly 50 pages of documented service history included in the sale.

This no-reserve auction offers enthusiasts a rare chance to own one of the wildest New Beetles ever built—an all-wheel-drive, twin-turbo sleeper with supercar-chasing performance.
