Adam Sandler Makes Major Career Announcement

Adam Sandler is one of the most celebrated comedians of his era. Sander, 58, found a talent for comedy early in his life and honed his craft while attending New York University and performing at night clubs and other venues, according to IMDb. Sandler, who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1991, was discovered by Dennis Miller, IMDb notes, who "recommended him to Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels and told him that Sandler had a big talent."

Sander did have special talent, and he became a regular on Saturday Night Live, both performing and writing, and also starred in a bevy of feature films. Some of his biggest movies included Airheads, The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy and Eight Crazy Nights.

"Over the past 30 years Adam Sandler has enjoyed phenomenal success as a comedian, actor, writer, producer, and musician," the Kennedy Center notes, adding that his films have made more than $3 billion worldwide.

Now, Sandler has made a major career announcement, and it should make his audience happy.

Sandler has announced a new tour, dubbed the You're My Best Friend comedy tour. The trek will hit arenas in more than 30 cities across North America, beginning Sept. 5 in Jacksonville, FL, and making stops in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Indianapolis, Omaha and Seattle, to name a few cities, before wrapping up Nov. 1 in Las Vegas. Sandler's last big tour took place back in 2023. On that tour, he filmed his 2024 Netflix special Adam Sandler: Love You over two days during a pair of sold-out concerts in Los Angeles.

For those who want to also catch Sandler on the screen, his Happy Gilmore 2 film will start streaming on Netflix on July 25. He also has another film set to arrive this fall in the Noah Baumbach movie Jay Kelly.
