Bride Hard Co-Stars Anna Chlumsky and Anna Camp Form a Strong Bond on Set

Anna Chlumsky, known for her iconic role in the hit TV show "Veep," has found a new best friend on the set of her latest movie, "Bride Hard." The 44-year-old actress recently shared her growing friendship with her costar, Anna Camp, while promoting her Apple TV+ series "Smoke" at the Tribeca Festival in New York City. "I adore Anna Camp," Chlumsky says of her costar. "We're a little in love and it's kind of amazing." The two actresses, who were previously "audition buddies," have found a new level of closeness while filming the comedy together. "Bride Hard" also stars Rebel Wilson as a secret agent bridesmaid who is thrown into work when a team of mercenaries crash the wedding party and take the guests hostage. The action-comedy marks an onscreen reunion for Wilson and Camp, who previously worked together in "Pitch Perfect." Chlumsky, who plays a bridesmaid in the movie, says that filming "Bride Hard" was a blast and she even brought her family along for some of the shoot as it was during the summer. "It was a good time and I think anybody who sees it should see that," she says. The actress also praises her other costars, including Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Gigi Zumbado, saying that it was "so much fun" working with them. As for preparing for the two different roles, Chlumsky says she approaches comedic and dramatic material "in exactly the same way." "We're just telling stories and it happens to be the writing that makes it funny or not," she explains. "Bride Hard" is now in theaters while the first two episodes of "Smoke" are streaming on Apple TV+. Chlumsky's training has allowed her to play in many different types of projects, and she loves that she can "play in so many different sandboxes."
